Kgp Earnings , Last Day!!

Now its the real time of fun that starts up, for me......leaving for my cousin's place to Howrah tommorow right in the morning..and then straightaway to my home the very next day :-)

Since this is my last day here(probably, unless the prof. shows some spcl. affection for us;-)...and ask us to stay back for some time more).I wud like to write abt some of my all time pals in kgp, who made this intern a memorable one and enjoyable ofcourse.

1.Shubhra, as always on my side for everything..was already too closeto her, but it was the first time I hv been wid her somewhere outside vns...really, nice experience working with her.

2.Anki, got a chance to b really close to her.....and share her feelings which she seldom likes to reveal to others.....and believe me, the girl is too inspiring....

3.Ashutosh,someone who really cracks quality pj's(far above my level;-)..)and to b very true, these summers wud have been too boring for all 3 of us without his company.

4.Subin, although he is my batchmate, I talked him first time after coming here..a person too straightforwarded...will hardly lend u his ears for ur grp gossips..most of the times he remains aloof of whats going on,he always prefers to have a fanta and get lost in his own fantasies.

5.Mayank, a guy whom i saw really "loaded" these summers.......cudn't remember anything specific abt him to mention here, except for onething i discovered that he loves to have "dals" as essential of partof his meals.

6.Well last but not the least, some new friends of IIT Kgp.....ppl really worth remembering and admiring..afterall, friends r the most valuable assets one earns in his/her life. But something new this time, got in conversation with them in a very odd fashion(and funny as well)..and infact, after a long time after it shud have ideally commenced........this may b cos IITians think too much over the remotest of the matter...(well, not their fault..:-)."ab bhagwaan ke diye hue dimaag ka kahin to use karna hi padega naa"......jst kidding!!).and they love to give clarifications and expect the same from others as well (no offence intended)..........and yes, some of them r really crazy to try out anything adventurous...be it facing ghosts or climbing on the pole for that matter and on the otherhand, some of them r more like innocent and fearful kids ;-)..... "Perfect Researchers" with sites like "orkut.com" as their favourite time pass on contrary to the"google.com" for the usual and traditional researchers:-)..........will, go in depths of each line u mutter, and won't spare u unless u r ready wid a full proof clarification.....and on top of that they never fail to say "I have a short term memory"...when they don't get anything to rescue them ifthey get stuck in midst of a conversation with we "witty ones":-)......all in all, really amiable ppl. to provide u with a gr8 company.

One thing that i wud like to add is that it is here itself I started blogging, gave words to my thoughts for the 1st time(wrote my first poem.....second one is still in process ;-)....)....doesn't matter whatever I mentioned in my last blogs abt this place...there is ofcourse something unique abt this place i will b missing..... So far now we all have nice memories to keep abt this place...some of those to be cherished forever .

Out of the Schedule

Well this weekend was a great one indeed!!probably b'cos (for a change) it was not in the AC Labs of IIT Kgp CS Dept but in the scorching heat of Calcutta...;-).....
Left our hostel right in the morning , we were around 6 ppl..all from my college IT BHU.
Caught the local train to Howrah at abt 8:30,(I must admit that the local train service is really good!!and I m highly in the favour that such a service shud soon b started b/w Kanpur & Lucknow)...anyways,thats not my "load".. hehehe, this is IIT Kgp local lingo amongst those most common "pain" &"peace" stuff.
Got down at Howrah station at abt 11:15, went to one of my classmates home......had some snacks & keeping in mind the limited time span in our hands to explore the whole Cal, soon left his place for the City Centre not too far away.Well nothing too great abt that Mall, its just the same as those usual ones....cud manage for very little shopping, and then watched the movie 'Bunty And Bubbly" in the multiplex...the movie was far less than my expectations & majority of us were regretting to ruin the whole day inside the Hall.
Anyways, it was my 4th trip to Calcutta so it didn't matter much to me, but it was not the case with all of us.But we knew that whole city was not at all one day cake, so it was fine...
Somehow managed abt 20 mins exploring of Science City, but that too in vain cos more that half of it was already closed.
And then landed the train after dinner at abt 9:30 at night. One of my classmate stayed back at
his cousins place there so we were now 5 in no.All of us were dead tired, but then we again didn't fail to be a source of entertainment for the crowd around us.Unlike usual times , when we were scolded for making noise in the late night journeys when we r in group, this time ppl seemed to enjoy our company, may b cos this time it wasn't the sleeper coach but a general one:-).....so the poor ppl were left with no other option than to bear us. We decided to play the rapid-fire Antaakshari( the place seemed to b too crowded to play Dumb-charades),
and to tell truth it was one of the most enjoyable duration than the rest of the hectic day, Sometimes we were singing the songs, that were highly unheard of...that was all fun !!.Subin , a guy in my team seemed to b highly lazy to sing a song...but not too lately, he also joined in with full vigour & didn't fail to rescue the team at times when we were really stuck. When we were left wid no more songs, we decided to shift on to simple Antaakshari involving movie names.
Back to the lab now , I think its really high time that I shud get serious abt my work and leave for my home as soon as possible. So will be blogging sometime later now, if I manage to get ample leisure time....till then Wish me luck for my work for which I m here.

Incessant Wonders , Go On & On !

Thou art His wonderful Creation
Gifted by boundless Imagination
Always obsessed with the notion
Transform this world into better location
Always ready to encounter any situation
No matter what obstruction
You always maintained perfection
Nothing could curtail your motivation
Be it the rest time or vacation
Nothing could distract your attention
Be this alluring world into motion
Or the constant ups & downs of emotion
You have always aborted any deviation
That ever hindered your progression
Infinity has been your destination
The trend will continue for generation
Thou shalt never bereft an occasion
To present a beautiful Innovation.

- Priya

These few lines are composed by me in praise of Mankind.U all shud
know that I m no poet, but this creation of mine might b the
consequence of the gr8 company of poets(rather poetesses)I m being
able to relish these days.

No doubts human Wisdom is something marvellous we all r gifted with.
In this respect let me acquaint u all with something intersting I came
across very recently, one more gr8 resolution has been undertaken by
intellectuals that can prove to b another landmark in the history of
mankind.

IBM decides to simulate Human Brain

_______________________________________________________________________________________________
IBM with a team of Swiss scientists to create the world's first
accurate, computer-based model of the brain, IBM's Blue Brain project
is a two-year venture for scientists from Big Blue and the Ecole
Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne to create a detailed model of the
human brain.
This effort represents the greatest investigation yet into how the
human brain works, achieved by creating a detailed model of the
neocortex using the Blue Gene supercomputer.
The model, which aims to investigate concepts such as thought, memory
and perception, should help researchers to find ways to combat
emotional disorders such as depression and autism, among others.

.

Relatively little is actually known about how the brain works.Using
the digital model
scientists will run computer-based simulations of the brain at the
molecular level, shedding light on internal processes such asthought,
perception and memory. Scientists also hope to understand more about
how and why certain microcircuits in the brain malfunction -- thought
to be the cause of psychiatric disorders such as autism, schizophrenia
and depression.

Astounding, isn't it?? I think that day is not far when brains wud b
sold in the market:)

is to come to terms with everything."

"Khadgu Gaaon Special"

For those who don't know,I m presently in IIT Kgp for a summer project in the CS Dept. With the horrible experience (wid apologies to IIT Kgp frns)at this place in the past few weeks, this week was not that bad........watched a 2 months older movie "Waqt" at the Audi here wid in the campus...n then njoyed the relishing dinner sponsored by one of my batchmate as his Birthday Treat..The movie was a "pakaaoo" one..but then it takes no spcl. efforts for us to make the most senti. movie a comedy..to fir "Yeh to kuch to nahin thi"..(refer Boman Irani's dialogue in the movie)..
Leaving aside all that let me discuss some interesting things out here .Today being a Sunday (jst one more day of the week..nothing spcl here as all labs are open till late at night even on sunday n ppl working ..even I m in the lab presently ..but u all know that what I m doing)....we went for the 2nd trip to the "TECH. MARKET " widin the campus...the market of the technical Institute so the word "tech" has to b there....the most peculiar thing I found abt the market was all shops had a prefix "tech" against their name ..and u will have jst one shop for one category of items....a series of shops as S-1, S-2...and so on.....arnd 20-30 shops in total ..better to say a sort of "mela" in the gaon..(jst giving my view point n wid no hard feelings against anyone..n all regards to the IIT Kgp ppl).
Well till now everything is going jst fine except for the imp. work for which we r here, I have started enjoying my company and my schedule out here.

These days even weather has improved..so some sort of outing can planned soon.We all planned for a weekend to Cal. but cudn't finally make it this time for some reasons....well nevermind, we r already planning for the nextweekend...So wait & Check out regularly for the lively updates by me.

So how I actually turned Up ?

Well friends, I m finally attacked by this phoebia of
Blogging..but lets c how long does it remain over
me...but what actually forced me into this "virtual
world" is my deadly(not actually) experience over here
presently..
When ppl like me have to sit whole day on net, without
the messenger service available :-(....this blogging has
come to rescue me out of the decoding/encoding
stuff..cos that can't b the whole day schedule
(atleast for me)......Although at times sites like
orkut.com did help me to exempt from that boring stuff
but I found this work more interesting and not at all
futile...So here I am into this world of
Blogging..with my heartful thanks to the developers of
this Blogger in my first blog..
Very soon I will b posting more abt the life at my
end..So keep checking it out!!
